Ingredients
  

  • For the Rub:
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar light or dark
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • For the Salmon:
  • 4-6 salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil

Step 1: Get the Oven Ready

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). As well, line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a wire rack.

Step 2: Prepare the Rub

  • In a small bowl, combine all the rub ingredients: brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir them together until well blended. The truth is, this is where the magic starts.

Step 3: Rub That Salmon!

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. This helps the skin get crispy and the rub adhere better. Brush each fillet with a little oil, then sprinkle the Salmon Asian Rub Recipe generously over the top. Press it gently to make sure it sticks.
