Ingredients
  

  • Steak Flank or shoulder
  • olive oil
  • packet onion soup mix
  • baby potatoes halved
  • large onion sliced
  • carrots cut into chunks
  • celery stalks chopped
  • garlic minced
  • beef broth
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • dried thyme
  • dried rosemary
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare Your Ingredients

  • Cut your steak into serving-sized portions and prepare all vegetables.
    For maximum flavor, season the meat well with salt and pepper

Step 2: Optional Browning

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown steak pieces for 2-3 minutes per side

Step 3: Layer in Crockpot

  • Place browned steak in the bottom of your crockpot. Layer potatoes, onions, carrots, and celery around and on top of the meat.

Step 4: Create the Cooking Liquid

  • Whisk together beef broth, remaining soup mix, gravy mix, Worcestershire sauce, and herbs. Pour this mixture over your crockpot steak.

Step 5: Cook Low and Slow

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the steak is fork-tender and potatoes are perfectly cooked.
