- 2-3 lbs chuck roast or round steak cut into serving pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 2 lbs baby potatoes halved
- 1 large onion sliced
- 3 carrots cut into chunks
- 3 celery stalks chopped
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and black pepper to taste

To get the most flavor out of your crockpot steak, liberally season both sides of your steak pieces with salt, pepper, and half of the onion soup mix.

Place browned steak in the bottom of your crockpot. Layer potatoes, onions, carrots, and celery around and on top of the meat.
Step 5: Create the Cooking Liquid
Whisk together beef broth, remaining soup mix, gravy mix, Worcestershire sauce, and herbs. Pour this mixture over your crockpot steak.
